Hello there,

I am a recent mechanical engineering graduate and currently working as a design engineer in a metal fabricating company. I would like to understand more about engineering drawings and am wondering if someone could recommend me a good engineering drawing book for a beginer like me.

Regards

boy this is tough i have been drawing since i was 10 years old am now 73 i draw how i see plan view side view and other elevations

then i do a 3d or isometric but one has to be able to visualize in 3d or isometric

nice shareing sir........................ keep it up.............

Nothing beats a well done true engineering drawing. Some people get it, some dont. Problem today is that with 3d, pretty iso views and exploded assemblies are being passed off as engineering drawings. I tell the CAD group here, please provide me with full size section views. I typically get a blank stare, followed by a screen capture section thru the 3d model.... no.... really.....

This is a good book that I use in my Basic Drafting class. It comes with a CD of another book that has more info that the printed workbook. I have my lectures for this class posted on youtube. I have also posted videos from my descriptive geometry class here.
